Appendix A: Troubleshooting¶
Common Issues¶
"I can't save my page!"¶
- Check Required Fields: Look for red outlines on fields. You might have missed a required Title or URL.
- Connection: Check your internet connection.
- Validation: If a block has an error, it might prevent the whole page from saving. Open the blocks to check for errors.
"My image looks blurry."¶
- Resolution: The original image file might be too small. Try uploading a version that is at least 1920px wide for full-width banners.
"The formatting looks weird when I paste from Word."¶
- Microsoft Word carries over hidden formatting. When pasting into the CMS, use the editor's Paste and match style option if available, or try
Cmd+Shift+V(Mac) orCtrl+Shift+V(Windows) to paste without formatting. - Note: This keyboard shortcut may not work uniformly in all browsers or CMS configurations.
- If the shortcut doesn't work, paste normally, then use the CMS toolbar to re-apply bold/italics/headings.
"I deleted a page by accident!"¶
- Restore: Go to the Pages section. Look for a "Filter" or "Search" option that allows you to see "Archived" pages. Find your page and click Restore.
When to Contact Support¶
If you encounter these issues, please contact your developer: - "Server Error" or "500 Error" messages. - The CMS screen goes blank. - You need a new "Page Type" or "Block Type" that doesn't exist.
